The Ultimate Horizon

HCStock65

We all know.

Whether we admit it to ourselves or others, we know how this is going to end.

We can’t change the fact that our story will one day draw to a close, but we can change how that experience feels to those we love.

With a little bit of foresight, we can let our family and friends focus on the many great memories we forged over the course of our lives. By taking a little time now to address our ultimate horizon, we can free them from the endless details and difficult decisions they would otherwise face.

Have you created a will, filled out your advanced directive, created a trust, and made mortuary arrangements? Has your loved one granted durable power of attorney to people they trust on the occasion they are disabled or incapacitated? Have you chosen where you would like to live if you reach the point where you can no longer live at home? Has your loved one designated who will receive his or her sentimental treasures and keepsakes when the time comes? Have you recorded your story so your loved ones can celebrate you and your many accomplishments?

We all want to take care of these matters and many others that will fall to our families. Most of us have every intention of resolving all these questions so we don’t burden those we love unnecessarily. So why haven’t we done so already?

It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it? Addressing our ultimate horizon is one of the toughest challenges any of us ever faces! None of us wants to imagine the day we can’t make decisions for ourselves or we’re no longer here at all. We resolve to take care of these things, and we assure our families we’ll get it done. Then more time passes, and we still haven’t addressed one or more of these important questions.

Besides the professionals whose help we know we need, like attorneys and accountants, we just need help identifying the steps we need to take, making calls, and doing the footwork necessary to address our inevitable horizon.

LifeWellLived provides the most comprehensive resources for addressing your ultimate horizon. You can access these resources without cost or obligation and follow our simple guidelines to make this daunting task more manageable.
